The Huon LINC extends an invitation to you to attend a Community Awareness presentation and discussion addressing the literacy needs in the Huon Valley.
Some of the items discussed will be the literacy needs and support requirements for clients, strategies, resources and the perceived stigma attached to those with low literacy skills.
Research suggests Tasmania has one of the lowest levels of literacy skills in the country and this affects the community as a whole including employment opportunities and local business.
Your contribution will be invaluable to the ongoing building and strengthening of our community.
This informal meeting will be held at the Huon LINC on Thursday 8th October 2009 at 3.00pm to 4.30pm.
